Most of Changi's rest options are in the transit area, so you never clear immigration: free snooze lounges in all four terminals, Changi Transit Hotel in Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and a nap suite at the Ambassador Transit Lounge. YOTELAIR and Jewel are outside it.

The Ambassador Transit Lounge sells a nap suite at S$120 a person for a minimum of 6 hours and showers at S$20 (seen November 2026). YOTELAIR, in Jewel, needs immigration.

Where to sleep without clearing immigration

Of the places to rest at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), all but YOTELAIR and JetQuay’s suite are in the transit area, so no visa or immigration is needed.

  • Free snooze lounges. Open 24 hours, daily, to any passenger on any ticket. Terminal 1: Level 3, Departure Transit Hall East, beside the smoking room. Terminal 2, Level 2: Sanctuary (opposite gate E5), Oasis (opposite E11) and Pavilion (opposite F33). Terminal 3: Level 2, Departure Transit Hall South (near the GST refund counters) and North (near the playground). Terminal 4: Level 2M. Changi says they are “intended for short-term relaxation and naps”, with no strict time limit, and that they suit short rests more than overnight stays.
  • Changi Transit Hotel. Level 3 in the transit areas of Terminals 1 (near Gate D40), 2 (near the Sunflower Garden) and 3 (beside the movie theatre), open 24 hours, with flexible booking durations and showers in the rooms; guests can use the pool with a jacuzzi at Terminal 1. The hotel’s own pages say minimum hourly blocks apply, a valid onward boarding pass is needed, and only cabin bags may come in, not checked luggage. Neither Changi’s page nor the hotel’s shows a price. Do not clear immigration if you wish to stay. If your flight leaves from Terminal 4, the hotel says the free shuttle buses link it to Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
  • Ambassador Transit Lounge. Level 3 of Terminals 2 and 3, open 24 hours. The nap suite is S$120 a person for a minimum of 6 hours, with a shower and towels, and S$15 for each extra hour.

Day rooms

Changi shows no day-room prices for Changi Transit Hotel or YOTELAIR on its pages. YOTELAIR takes day bookings “for as little as four hours”. JetQuay’s Sleeping Suite is a minimum of 6 hours: S$120 for the first 6 hours and S$20 an hour after, or S$200 for 10 to 22 hours, plus 9 per cent GST, for one adult a room, with a shower, a meal and lounge access in the package. Changi’s page says you need a Quayside or Jetside service booking to use it and must clear JetQuay’s private immigration first; the same entry also says “please do not clear immigration if you wish to stay at this hotel”, so ask JetQuay which applies to your connection. The Ambassador’s nap suite is S$120 for a minimum of 6 hours (all seen November 2026).

  • Connections. Changi’s transit guide says transit passengers need both flights on one booking, bags tagged through, and security screening before the onward gate. Passengers without an onward boarding pass go to the transfer desk.
  • Free Singapore Tour. For layovers of 5.5 to 24 hours, with booths in the transit area; Changi says you may enter and exit immigration only once during the layover, so it is your one trip out: see the itineraries.
